Magazine ranks Temple Theatre best in state

The Temple Theatre has been named the best theatre in the state by a popular magazine.
Cosmopolitan magazine released a list of the best theatres in every state.
The historic theatre in downtown Meridian took the award for Mississippi.
The Temple Theatre was built in the 1920s and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
In 2009, the Temple was purchased by Roger Smith. The theatre features movies, concerts and other live events.
