Man injured in early morning shooting

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - Meridian police responded to the report of a shooting victim near Magnolia Middle School.

It was around 3:20 a.m. when police were dispatched. Upon arrival police found a man that had been possibly shot twice.

The victim was standing on the corner of 24th Street and 14th Avenue and was able to talk with officers. It's unclear if the actual shooting took place at that location.

The victim was loaded into an ambulance and transported to Meridian hospital.

The facts of the case are being investigated.
