Mayors re-elected in Meridian, Philadelphia

The mayors of Meridian and Philadelphia decisively won their re-election bids.

Philadelphia's James Young, a Democrat, defeated Republican challenger Josh Gamblin by taking 73% of the vote.

In Meridian, Percy Bland, a Democrat, won a second term by defeating two opponents. Bland got 64% of the vote. Independent Dustin Markham placed second with 34 percent. Republican William Compton received 2 percent of the vote.
