Meehan store robbed at gunpoint

Lauderdale County deputies responded to an armed robbery Tuesday evening.

Chief Deputy Ward Calhoun says it was about 6:20 p.m. when a man entered a store in Meehan on Highway 80 E with a handgun.

Calhoun says the suspect pulled a gun on the clerk and left with money from the cash register.

The suspect is described as a white man wearing a blue sweatshirt, camo pants and a blue bandana.
