MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - The Meridian Activity Center hosted an open house Thursday to introduce its new computer lab.
The lab will offer classes to help citizens who aren’t tech-savvy. They'll teach visitors how to operate computers, laptops, tablets and smartphones.
There are also classes for different Microsoft programs. Everyone involved with the new learning center is excited to help people who want to learn.
"We’re so excited that we were able to do this,” Julia Norman says. “This is a collaboration between the Meridian Council for Aging one of our volunteers, Clay Hamilton, and Kathy Anderson, the director here. We were able to listen to these customers, and they want to learn more about technology. We were able to facilitate a way for them to do that."
The price is $10 for in-house classes.
