MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - The Meridian Little Theatre has brought to the stage a beloved classic holiday movie.
'A Christmas Story' is a tale about a boy who only wants one thing for Christmas, a Red Ryder B-B gun. The play is casted and worked by members of the community. Meridian Little Theatre board members say having plays like this is a great way for kids to experience and learn about the arts.
"It’s a great learning opportunity for young kids coming up, learning through the theater,” says MLT board president Scott Stevens. “They get to learn the back stage area, costumes and props and also on stage they get to act and perform. It is a very community involved theater. "
There will be two more performances this week. They will be on Monday and Tuesday night at 7. If you bring a five can donation to the show you will receive five dollars off of your admission. The cans will be given to love kitchen.
