Meridian man charged with Internet sex crimes

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - A Meridian man is facing charges for Internet sex crimes.

Jerry Thedford Jr., 18, is charged with computer luring and statutory rape. These charges are part of an ongoing investigation from the Meridian Public School District's Police Department.

Chief Ricardo Clayton says one of their officers is working as part of the AG's Cyber Crimes Unit.

Thedford's bond is set at $200,000.
