Meridian police investigate second shooting death this year

Meridian police responded to the scene of a shooting in the 2900 block of 36th Street Wednesday night around 9:00 p.m.

Lauderdale County Coroner Clayton Cobler says a man suffered multiple gunshot wounds just outside of a home that sits on the corner. Lt. Rita Jack says a man was found on the ground just outside the front door with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers were looking closely at the vehicle in the driveway for evidence. Family members arrived at the home and were very shaken and upset.
