MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - A 13-year-old girl from Meridian landed the role of a lifetime in Hollywood this year.

Kaydence Patton suffers from a heart condition called hypoplastic left heart syndrome. But she's never let that get in the way of her dreams of being an actress.

When the Make-a-Wish Foundation discovered Kaydence's wish was to be on TV, they set her up with a role on ABC's "The Rookie."

Now Kaydence is back from Hollywood and ready for her big debut.

"I've always loved acting, and I feel like I have a big personality. I love being on camera and on the stage. Pretty much, I'm a natural," she laughs.

"Kaydence is full of life. She is full of life," Kaydence's mom Tanyera Patton says. "A lot of people have prayed for her to be here, and Lord knows, he has blessed us with what we've been praying for. So I'm very, very proud of her."

The show with Kaydence airs Tuesday at 9 p.m. on ABC.
