MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK)- While storm victims across the region continue to clean up after last weekend's tornado outbreak, parts of Mississippi and Alabama are bracing for another possible round of severe weather.

Severe thunderstorms capable of producing hail, deadly lightning, damaging winds and tornadoes are possible across our area Thursday afternoon. The severe weather threat could last well into Thursday night.

The Storm Prediction Center currently has much of East Mississippi and parts of extreme West Alabama under an enhanced (level 3 out of 5) risk of severe weather Thursday.

The risk level and possible impact areas could change between now and when the storm system arrives, so make sure you follow Storm Team 11 via broadcast and online for the latest weather updates and alerts.
