Mississippi pastor arrested on sex charges in undercover sting in Kentucky

A pastor from Monroe County, Mississippi is accused of traveling to Kentucky to meet a teenager for sex.

Michael Shane Cruse of Columbus was arrested Saturday, October 28 in Danville, Kentucky.

Officers say Cruse started an online chat with a 16-year-old teen, then arranged to meet and have sex with the boy. WTVA-TV reports this was part of an online undercover operation conducted by the Boyle County Sheriff's Office in Kentucky.

Cruse is described on his Facebook page as the pastor and founder at Restoration Life Church in Hamilton.

Cruse is charged with an unlawful transaction with a minor-1st degree-illegal sex act, victim under 18 years of age and/or prohibited use of an electronic communication system to procure sex from a minor.

He is out on bond.
