Partly cloudy skies have been the story today with a few pop-up showers around the region. These will fall apart after sunset as skies clear out. This is our last chance at rain for at least a few days as winds stay from the north and high pressure builds in from the west to bring us a seasonably cool middle of the week.
Lows will drop into the lower 60s through Thursday with some locations potentially seeing lows in the upper 50s each morning. Highs will remain in the middle to upper 80s, some 3 to 8 degrees below our average high for this time of year.
Like every cool down this time of year, it will be short-lived as highs return to the 90s as we move through Father's Day weekend. Thanks to the heat and humidity, a pop-up storm will be possible each day from Saturday through Monday with perhaps a cold front dropping into the area as we move towards the middle of next week.
