LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Miss. (WTOK) - The Lauderdale County School District will have a new position in the next school year.

The district has tapped current Northeast High School principal, Tim Moore, to serve in a dual role as transportation director and athletic director.

In this newly created position, Moore will oversee athletic activities and compliance with all four county schools.

"We've already got the great athletic programs but we definitely want to get the opportunity and we know we will, to move us to a higher level," said Moore. "So that's what we're looking forward to."

Moore has been NEHS principal for the last two and a half years.
