Myers resigning at Philadelphia PD

PHILADELPHIA, Miss. (WTOK) - Philadelphia's police chief is stepping down. Grant Myers turned in his resignation Tuesday at the city's board of alderman meeting.

Myers posted on social media that May 31st will be his last day on the job.

Myers says he will be joining the Neshoba County District Attorney's Office and looks forward to serving Philadelphia and Neshoba County in his new role.

Myers has been police chief for over five years.
