Names released in hayride accident

The Mississippi Highway Patrol released the names of the people who died in a tragic hayride accident Monday evening in Chunky: Kristina Shaver, 33, 8-year-old Baylie Shaver and Brooke Shaver, age 2.
The MHP says the seven other people on the trailer at the time suffered life-threatening injuries and remained in hospitals in Meridian and Jackson, listed in critical condition.
The Highway Patrol says the accident happened when a Ford F-150 collided with the rear of a small utility trailer being towed by a Jeep Wrangler. Both vehicles were traveling westbound on Highway 80.
The Highway Patrol says the driver of the Jeep, 58-year-old Terry Smith, was not injured, nor was the driver of the F-150, Chase Cook, 20.
The MHP is investigating the crash and conducting an accident reconstruction, which is standard procedure.
