Newton County students commit to finish high school

Students in Newton County are making the "commitment to graduate."

Over 150 freshmen students filled the stands of the Newton County High School gym Tuesday to learn about why it's so important to graduate high school.

They signed a special banner at the conclusion of the ceremony, as a symbol of their intention to finish high school.

The banner will remain posted at the entrance of the school and will be placed on the backdrop of the stage at this group's 2023 graduation ceremony.
