MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - Meridian police responded to a shooting Sunday morning around 8:30. Meridian Police Chief Benny Dubose says a man was shot in the 4300 block of King Road.

He says the shooting was the result of an ongoing feud between two people that know each other. Dubose says the shooter tells police that the victim approached his home with the handle of a shovel after being told not to come onto his property.

The man was shot one time through the shoulder. Police say no charges have been filed in the case against the victim nor the shooter.
