Philadelphia girl gets Christmas surprise
Christmas came early for one little girl in Philadelphia who got the surprise of her life when the last person she expected to see came to town.
Eight year old Maci Cate only wanted one thing for Christmas, for her brother to come home for the holidays.
This year, she finally got her wish. Her brother flew across the country to surprise her.
"This year my mom sent me a letter, at the bottom of the letter, she listed all the things she wanted, at the bottom she put 'PS, but if you could just bring my brother home for Christmas, I don't want any of that other stuff',” says her brother River Johnson.
Johnson lives in Los Angles and hasn't had the opportunity to come home for Christmas in several years. He said once he read her letter, he had to come up with a plan.
"I was just itching to see her. When she came around the corner, I tried to run to her but she thought I was a strange man so she ran. She came back and I think we both burst into tears. I was just really excited to see her. She hasn't left my hip since I got back. It's been hard trying to get her to even go to school,” says Johnson.
"I’m just happy my bubba is home,” says Maci Cate.
