Election officials are preparing for the big day Tuesday.

Poll workers for all of the precincts in Lauderdale County stopped by the county Annex Building to pick up all of the materials needed for Tuesday’s primary election. As we head into the big day Circuit Clarke Donna Jill Johnson says to keep a few things in mind like knowing where your county precinct is, bringing your I.D.

“You are not registered by party in the state of Mississippi. Your name is printed in the Democrat book and your name is in the Republican book. Make sure you look at the sample ballots posted on the wall at the precinct to make sure you are getting the ballot where you want to vote,”

Polls will open at 7:00 a.m. and accept voters until 7:00 p.m. Remember, if you are in line to vote at 7 p.m. you will still be allowed to vote.
