Rain continues today, big cool down in store for next week
Happy Tuesday! Be on the look-out for patchy dense fog as you head out and about this morning. Make sure to leave a bit of extra time to get to your destination and remember to use low beam headlights while driving in the fog. Any fog should lift between 8 and 9 a.m. Temperatures will warm into the low-70s on our Tuesday with rain and storms likely. An isolated severe storm can't be ruled out, with large hail the primary threat and a 60 mph wind gust the secondary threat. The rain will be heavy at times, and this may lead to flash flooding. Scattered showers will be with us tonight, mainly during the evening hours. Temperatures will fall into the mid-60s by Wednesday morning.
We'll see scattered showers on Wednesday with high temperatures in the mid-70s. A cold front will move through Thursday morning, and it will bring a few showers along with it. Temperatures on Thursday will be the 60s in the morning, with temperatures dropping through the 50s by Thursday evening. Friday will feature mostly cloudy skies with a chance of a passing shower or two.
Another cold front will move through on Saturday, which will bring more rainfall to our area on Saturday and then a big cool down heading into next week. The mild and wet pattern we've been seeing for the first half of January will flip to a cold and drier pattern for the back half of the month. I'm talking about possibly the coldest temperatures so far this winter! Highs will be in the low-50s on Sunday and then the upper-40s by Monday. We only look to get colder from there...
