Retirement party hosted for Leslie Payne as she leaves Care Lodge
The Care Lodge Domestic Violence Shelter celebrated the leadership, legacy and retirement of its longtime executive director.
Family and friends of Leslie Payne gathered Thursday night to pay tribute and to celebrate her accomplishments while leading the Care Lodge. She has been an advocate for domestic violence victims for over two and a half decades. She talked to us about what she'll miss the most.
"I've had an opportunity to develop a great working relationship, and the interaction there and to see them do their work because the staff at Care Lodge are so good at what they do," said Payne. "I think its the staff that I am going to miss the most."
Payne has been with the Care Lodge for twenty six years.
