ATMORE, Ala. (AP) - Alabama inmate Michael Samra was executed by lethal injection Thursday night for a quadruple murder in 1997.
Samra, 41, was visited by friends and a spiritual adviser earlier Thursday. His family did not attend the execution.
Evidence showed the '97 slayings stemmed from a friend's argument with his father over use of a pickup truck. The friend was initially sentenced to death but is now serving life without parole.
