MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - The warmth and humidity will continue through the rest of your day today. Storms are already starting to develop across the area as a warm front approaches. The timing for the majority of the rain and storms entering east MS is approximately 5:00 p.m. Most of the rain will be done with by 9:00 p.m. with the exception of a few light isolated showers. The only main concern regarding these storms are gusty winds and small hail. Lows will stay mild tonight in the middle 60s.
Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy with thunderstorm development possible in the afternoon along with a few isolated showers. We will be just as warm and humid as we were today with highs in the low 80s and lows in the middle 60s. Showers will be in the forecast Monday and Tuesday as we also continue to see steady warm temperatures in the afternoon. Wednesday we will be clear and sunny from the get go, and ample sun will allow highs to rise into the middle 80s.
Thursday will be likely the warmest day of the week. Partly cloudy skies are to be expected with a chance for isolated showers as a cold front passes through later in the day. Highs will be back in the middle 70s on Friday with sunny skies.
