MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - We are back to a typical summer-time pattern. With southerly flow off the Gulf, high humidity and dew points are back. For the remainder of Saturday, a few isolated showers will continue across East Mississippi and West Alabama until we lose daytime heating. Clouds will remain overnight.
For Father's Day, we will basically see a repeat of today. Highs will be in the low to mid 90s with a few isolated storms during the afternoon and evening hours. One or two of these could be on the heavy side, but most will be brief in nature. You will not need to cancel any outdoor activities, just have a back up plan if you may have to dodge a shower or two.
For the remainder of the week, we continue with a chance for showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon hours. Highs will be in the low to mid 90s, with heat indices potentially in the upper 90s.
