MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - We began to dry up today after ending this work week with gloomy skies and pesky showers. Tonight winds will be calm and out of the west with lows in the upper 40s. This will also bring another chance for fog in the late hours of the night and into early sunny morning with dew point temperatures staying near 50 overnight. Tomorrow morning we will see another sunny start like we saw this morning. Expect sunny skies to last throughout the day which will also allow our temperatures to rise to near 80 degrees. We are expecting an above average stretch before our next cold front approaches. With the help of a southwesterly wind tomorrow night, low temperatures will remain mild in the upper 50s.
Monday highs will again stay near 80 with clear skies. Even though we will be above average expect enjoyable and sunny weather conditions to start the work week. Lows for Monday drop into the mid-50s under clear skies. Tuesday continues the sunny streak throughout the day, but overnight we will see an increase in cloud cover. Lows will be in the 60s and winds from the south will keep us humid. A cold front approaching the area will bring along isolated showers and the occasional storm for Wednesday which may impose on some of your Halloween plans. From the way things are looking now Halloween night will be cloudy with on and off showers and temperatures in the 60s.
Thursday we will still be dealing with a few showers in the area along with partly sunny skies. Highs drop down back into the 70s and the lows will be back in the upper 40s. Overnight on Thursday expect cloudy skies with decreasing rain chances. Friday we will start of partly sunny and the dry up will continue throughout the day. Highs stay in the mid-60s on Friday afternoon and lows drop into the lower 40s. For next weekend we are staying dry and clear.
