CLARKE COUNTY, Miss. (WTOK) - A storm that swept through Clarke County left numerous power lines and trees down.
Nearly a dozen homes were damaged and a church is left in pieces. Emergency Management Agency director Eddie Ivy said although the area experienced damage, he thinks residents handled the situation well.
"Even though it was an overnight storm, the public was able to get the warnings," Ivy said. "They took the appropriate actions to protect themselves.
Ivy said the National Weather Service will be in the area later this week to assess storm damage.
