MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - A memorial school supply drive was held Wednesday night in memory and in honor of someone who went missing eight years ago.

Julius Tadarius Jones who went missing on August 14th of 2011 was never found. The "Life and Love Missing Persons Support Group" offered school supplies to the school-age children of families who have experienced unexpected tragedies.

"We are gathered here on behalf of my son Julius Tadarius Jones. He has been missing for eight years and our support group got together and wanted to give back on behalf and in honor of Julius and I thought that was amazing so we are here today to give back to our community with school supplies and food,” Tabitha Jones, mother of Julius Jones.
