Meundre Sanders, 23, and 27-year-old Destiny Davis also received three additional 20-year sentences for shooting and wounding three other people. Both defendants had previously pleaded guilty to one count of capital murder and three counts of aggravated assault.

The shootings happened at what prosecutors described as a botched armed robbery Oct. 16, 2017.

Christopher Sanders, 29, who was indicted as a co-defendant, also pleaded guilty to felon in possession of a firearm and accessory after the fact to capital murder. But DA Kassie Coleman says he did not participate in the original crime. Christopher Sanders got ten years in prison for attempting to dispose of a firearm used in the robbery.
