"It's always a relief when you can arrest the correct person in any case but especially a murder case,” said Sheriff Lolley. “We're actively trying to resolve this and bring everyone to justice in this matter."
The robbery-murder happened at the Bedford Pines Apartments on Vanity Fair Avenue in Butler. Sheriff Scott Lolley says Monday’s crime is the first murder of the year in Choctaw County.
People who live near the crime scene can't believe what happened.
"That’s why it was so surprising that this happened in this area because normally we don't hardly have anything to happen here, it's just sad,” said Mary Watson.
Sheriff Lolley said his office is assisting Butler PD on this case.
"We feel strongly that we have more suspects to apprehend,” said Lolley. “Anyone with any information should call the Butler Police Department."
The two capital murder suspects are being held in the Marengo County Detention Center without bond.
