12/12/19 - Clouds will continue to blanket the area tonight. Showers will begin to increase across the area this evening with moderate rainfall possible at times - which will be more likely in western Alabama. The thick cloud cover will prevent temperatures from dropping too much overnight with lows expected to be in the mid 40s.
Clouds will stick around through the afternoon hours with spotty showers possible. By tomorrow evening, the cloud cover will begin to break apart and we will have a mostly clear night. Highs for Friday will be in the upper 50s.
This upcoming weekend will be dry with a lot of sunshine across the area. Temperatures will be seasonable both Saturday and Sunday with highs in the mid to upper 60s, lows in the upper 40s to low 50s. Our next weather maker arrives on Monday which will bring a chance for a few strong thunderstorms. We will continue to monitor the timing and how widespread the storms could be over the next couple of days. Stay tuned to Newscenter 11 through the weekend for the latest! As we usually see with frontal passages this time of year, our temperatures will drop quite by Tuesday once the front passes.
