Silver Alert cancelled for Newton County man

NEWTON COUNTY, Miss. (WTOK) - A Silver Alert that was issued for 79-year-old Jimmy Dale Gibbs of Lake has been cancelled.

Officials say he was found Thursday morning in Jasper County, a little disoriented, but safe.

A Silver Alert has been issued by the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation for 79-year-old Jimmy Dale Gibbs of Lake.

He was last seen Wednesday, Nov. 6, around 2:00 p.m. in the 1100 block of Old 80 Road in Newton County, wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, leather jacket and boots.

Gibbs is described as 5' 11". 180 pounds, with brown hair and gray eyes.

He could possibly be in a red 2002 Ford F250 pickup with Mississippi license plate number DPB7499.

Family members say Gibbs suffers from a medical condition that may impair his judgment.
