HUMPHREYS COUNTY, Miss. (WTOK) - The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation Wednesday evening cancelled the Silver Alert it issued for Willie C. Purnell, 64, in Humphreys County.
The Mississippi Department of Public Safety said Purnell had been found but offered no details and directed inquiries to the Humphreys County Sheriff’s Department.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has issued a Silver Alert for 64-year-old Willie C. Purnell, also known as “Nor”, of Belzoni, in Humphreys County, Miss.
Purnell is a black male, 5’ 6”, 160 pounds with graying hair and black eyes. He had on blue jeans, a blue shirt and a gray sweater when he was last seen. Someone may have been with Purnell.
Purnell was last seen Jan. 2 at about 10 a.m. in the vicinity of the Zip Trip on Highway 49 in Humphreys County.
Witnesses say Purnell accepted a ride in a small black Nissan car, year and make of model unknown, tag number unknown. There is also no description of the person who was driving the Nissan.
Family members say Purnell suffers from a medical condition that may impair his judgment.
