SUMTER COUNTY, Ala. (WTOK) - Sumter County will be hosting a fall festival and health fair Saturday for a program there.
This event is free to the public and is sponsored by the Sumter County Opportunity, Inc. and will be held at the Sumter County Early Head Start Program from ten am until two pm.
It will offer free checks blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose and HIV testing
And will also provide other free activities and educational materials for children and parents.
“This would do great things for the community. This is going to give the parents an opportunity to have their kids to get checked in and be recruited for early head start,” said Sumter County Commission Chairman, Marcus Campbell. “The earlier the better so far parents that have kids that can possibly come in and get them registered and see if they are able to get in at an early head start center as soon as possible this will be great for them.
