We've seen some pop-up showers and thunderstorms across the area this afternoon. These will diminish as the sun goes down tonight. Lows will be in the mid 70s.
We will be watching a line of thunderstorms moving across the Mississippi River this evening that will try to track towards us overnight. This line of storms will likely weaken by the time it reaches east Mississippi, but a strong storm can't be ruled out. Timing will likely be between 5am and 7am so it could be a wet start to your day tomorrow.
During the afternoon hours, we could still see a stray shower or two. Highs will be in the lower 90s.
Tuesday, I'm expecting dry but humid conditions in the morning and afternoon with highs in the 90s. Another line of thunderstorms may track across the area Tuesday evening and into Tuesday night. This all depends on if high pressure will remain in place near the coast. If it does, it will limit thunderstorm potential. If high pressure is further to the south and east, the chance for thunderstorms making it into our area will be higher.
This summer-time pattern will continue through the end of the week with a chance for afternoon pop-up storms each day and highs in the low to mid 90s.
