MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - Clouds stay around for this afternoon but give way to occasional breaks of sunshine. As we go into tonight we will remain partly cloudy and drop into the upper 30s for the low with a breezy wind from the west. Tomorrow cloud cover will not hang around as long as it did this afternoon. Expect sunny skies for the stark of your work week as ridging begins to take over the area. Temperatures stay on the cooler side with a high of 64. Sunday night lows drop into the lower 40s.
Warmth returns noticeably on Tuesday. We will reach the upper 70s for the afternoon with sunny skies. Tuesday night low temperature become milder into the mid 50s. Wednesday will be mostly sunny as well as our warm spot of the week with highs reaching 80s across the area. Late Wednesday night expect a few scattered showers and lows in the mid 50s. Thursday will be another mostly sunny day with highs in the upper 70s. Lows for Thursday night drop into the lower 50s.
Friday is looking nice! Expect mostly sunny and 75. Lows that night drop in the lower 50s. Saturday a few more clouds will be in the sky giving us a partly sunny afternoon with highs in the upper 70s. As we go into Saturday night showers are likely to make their way into the area. Lows will only drop into the upper 50s. So far, next Sunday is looking to be a washout involving showers and thunderstorms. Another storm system is foretasted to make its way into the twin states later in the weekend. Temperature remain mild for Sunday with highs in the mid to lower 70s and lows in the lower 50s.
