OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (AP) - A 17-year-old girl has been arrested after being accused of making two threats against a Mississippi high school.

Jackson County School District Assistant Superintendent Michael Van Winkle says St. Martin High School was placed on lockdown Friday morning after a threatening note was discovered in a girls bathroom Thursday afternoon and a second threat involving a gun was found on a wall the next day.

The Sun Herald reports Sheriff Mike Ezell said in a news release that officials believe the same teenager is responsible for both threats.

Van Winkle said school officials narrowed a pool of suspects by using surveillance footage of who entered the bathroom.

The 10th grader, whose name was not released, faces charges of making a bomb threat and assault by threat of shooting.
