Temperatures warm into the mid-60s this afternoon

Happy Wednesday! Temperatures have fallen to the freezing mark or just above or below it this morning. We'll see mostly sunny skies on our Wednesday with highs in the mid-60s. Partly cloudy skies tonight will lead to a warmer morning on Thursday: temperatures will be around 40 degrees to begin tomorrow. Thursday will feature partly cloudy skies with highs in the mid-60s.

Rain chances will begin to increase Thursday night, mainly after midnight. An area of low pressure will move through our area on Friday, keeping rain chances in the forecast throughout the day on Friday. It won't be raining all day long, but make sure to bring the rain gear as you come out to donate to Toython. A few showers will linger on south of I-20/Highway-80 for our day on Saturday, but most of the day will be dry.

Isolated showers will be possible on Sunday area-wide, but once again most of the day will be dry. Highs will be in the upper-50s on Saturday and then the mid-60s on Sunday. Another storm system will take shape heading into the start of next week. Models can't agree on timing and how this system will develop at this time, but for now I am calling for a better chance of rain on Monday than compared to Tuesday. This forecast still has plenty of time to change so keep up to date with the latest. At this point, severe weather is not expected, but this system could contain locally heavy rainfall.
