PHILADELPHIA, Miss. (WTOK) - Local power companies are busy working to restore power in Neshoba county. However, no one is sure when all power will be restored. Both Philadelphia Utilities and Central Electric Power Association have companies from surrounding areas helping with outages in the area. One resident from the area said she hasn't had power since Thursday night and she hopes to have power in her home soon.
"I'm living with my mom taking care of her," resident Wendy Forty said. "She's on a cane and has to take a lot of medicine but she has no way of keeping warm."
An employee from Philadelphia Utilities said residents should stay away from all fallen power lines until the restoration process is completed.
