Ample sunshine for us today as high pressure is building in from the north. High pressure will slide to the north and east through the night and into our Friday to turn our winds back to the south on Friday to return humidity and warmer temperatures through the weekend. We will remain dry on Friday and most of us will remain dry on Saturday, but a pop-up storm will be possible south of Interstate 20 with all of us seeing an equal shot at a pop-up storm on Sunday.
As temperatures and humidity returns through the weekend and to the start of next week, rain chances in the afternoon will increase slightly to allow for isolated afternoon storms across the area each day. Highs will remain in the middle 90s through the start of the week with lows in the lower 70s.
We will see temperatures drop off a bit as we head into the back part of the week as the culmination of clouds and showers through the week will knock highs back down closer to 90 as we head to the back part of the week. Lows will also increase as humidity does to make the heat index even higher for the second half of the week.
