Lots of sunshine for us today but cool as temperatures have been warming into the lower and middle 50s. We will see a cold night tonight as we should all drop below freezing tonight with us all struggling to 50 for our highs tomorrow.
Clouds will be on the increase on Thursday in advance of our next system. Rainfall arrival has slowed a nudge today compared to yesterday, so clouds will increase through the day on Friday with rain perhaps holding off until after midnight. For now, I will keep late day showers in the forecast for Friday, but that may get dropped as we get closer if recent trends hold.
Saturday will be a washout as our next system moves along the northern Gulf Coast. Rain will overspread the area Saturday morning with a few embedded thunderstorms possible, but severe weather is currently not expected. Rainfall will be heavy at times with rainfall totals of one to two inches with locally higher amounts.
Leftover showers will be with us on Sunday and much colder as an upper level low moves over the area. Highs will stay in the 40s for Sunday and Monday, but clouds should keep lows above freezing both days. We will start to warm again next Tuesday, and we look to stay dry until late next week.
