Rain showers and storms for us this morning have exited with clouds slowly clearing for us this evening. Temperatures will continue dropping this afternoon and evening with us waking up in the 30s Wednesday morning. We should remain above the freezing mark tonight, and temperatures will remain above average for Wednesday as we return to the lower and middle 60s.
Our complicated weather pattern for the end of the week and the weekend continues to evolve and change, almost daily, placing a lower confidence in the forecast for the middle and long range of the forecast. We should be dry for Valentine's Day before stray showers return to the forecast for the weekend and into Monday. Temperatures will warm through the weekend before they drop on Sunday as a cold front clips the region and ushers in colder air.
The best rain chances now look to be late Monday into Tuesday as a system moves along the Gulf Coast. I will increase rain chances for Tuesday as that seems the more likely day of the most rain. It is likely temperatures remain near and below average from Sunday through at least Tuesday and Wednesday of next week before we may see another warming trend.
