Happy Tuesday! It is noticeably cooler and more comfortable as you head out the door on our Tuesday morning. Temperatures have fallen into the 60s with dew points in the 50s! We’ll see partly cloudy skies with highs in the mid-80s on this unusually comfortable June day. Mostly clear skies and light winds overnight will help temperatures drop into the low-60s Wednesday morning, with a few spots even dropping into the upper-50s.
A cold front will approach from the west on Wednesday; however, it will be a dry front as it moves on through later that night into Thursday morning. Behind the frontal passage, high pressure will move over us and bring our coolest morning on Friday. Lows that morning will be around 60 degrees, and many locations north of I-20 will fall into the upper-50s. Upper-80s for highs will return on Friday under mostly sunny skies.
Our comfortable streak will come to an abrupt end by Saturday as strong southerly flow takes control over our area. This will bring a chance of pop-up showers and storms Saturday through Monday. No one day is going to be a wash-out by any means, but be sure to keep an eye to the sky if you plan to be outdoors this weekend. Highs will be in the low-to-mid-90s during this time frame, with morning lows returning to the low-70s by Sunday.
