Happy Tuesday! It’s a mild and muggy morning on our Tuesday with some patchy fog out there. Be sure to use extra caution on the roadways if you see any fog around and perhaps leave a little bit of extra time to get to your destination this morning. Any fog should clear by 9 a.m.
We’ll get up to around 92 degrees on our Tuesday under mostly sunny skies. High pressure will be dominating our weather pattern over the next seven days, with a big warm-up in store for us.
By our Memorial Day weekend, temperatures will be approaching (and possibly breaking) record highs for not on the individual May days, but the month of May as a whole. The warmest May day in Meridian is 99 degrees, and the forecast calls for a high of 99 on Memorial Day. If we end up hitting 100, it will be the earliest ever. No guarantee we’ll get there, but something to look out for.
Because of the high pressure in place, we look to stay dry with mostly sunny skies through Monday. Morning lows will be in the upper-60s to low-70s each day. With our forecasted upper-90s for the weekend, factor in the humidity and we will almost certainly get heat index values above 100 degrees.
