Semi-automatic rifle used in Philadelphia drive-by shooting

Two men are in custody in Philadelphia after police say they fired shots at an approaching car and then led officers on a short pursuit.

Darren McBeath and James Carter have been charged with aggravated assault.

The incident happened last week at the intersection of Beacon Street and Poplar Avenue.

Philadelphia Police Chief Grant Myers says the driver of the car that was fired at called 911. Surveillance video from a nearby business captured the shooting.

Investigators recovered a Glock handgun and Norinco SKS rifle. McBeath has also been charged with felony fleeing.
