Waynesboro murder suspect appears in court
A murder suspect in a deadly Easter shooting in Waynesboro had his initial court appearance Wednesday.
Judge Charles Chapman set bond for Omni Turner at $4 million.
Turner said he served 17 months in jail on a previous conviction.
Waynesboro Investigator Don Hopkins says Turner has been cooperative since his arrest.
"We've still got some interviews to conduct and some more people to speak with at this time. The case is continuing," said Hopkins. "We feel that we have the proper people that we're looking for and there may be additional people, as well as we continue to investigate."
Turner was arrested in Ohio earlier this month and was extradited to Wayne County to face the charge.
