A beautiful, sunny day for us today with temperatures back to and just above normal. We will keep clear skies tonight as we drop into the middle 30s with us warming back to about 70 for Valentine's Day a strong southerly winds bring in warm and more humid air.
The warmer air along with a few passing systems make our next week a difficult one to forecast due to timing and temperature questions. We will be seeing the coldest air just to our north at any point over the next week, so a nudge south could drop our forecast temperatures significantly. Because of that, temperatures have been adjusted almost every day of the next seven with confidence low in our temperature forecast, especially Sunday forward.
Stray showers will be possible on Friday as a cold front passes to our north. We will see another system pass by Sunday that should be strong enough to bring cold air south with it for a day. Our main rainmaker looks to organize in the northwestern Gulf of Monday and track over our area Tuesday into Wednesday. This is the best chance of rain over the next week with some decent rainfall possible. Models are already hinting at rainfall of about an inch.
