Lots of sunshine and cooler for us today, although we are actually just above where we should be for this time of year. We will see temperatures drop off quickly after sunset as we bottom out below freezing for the first time in 19 days (and first time this year). We will see a few high clouds filter in through our Thursday as highs return only to the lower 50s.
Clouds increase on Friday ahead of our next system that will be here through the morning hours on Saturday. Rainfall amounts continue to look unimpressive with this system as many of us will likely only see a half an inch of rain or less. However, I will maintain rainfall of less than one inch as some locations may push an inch of rain where the better support for for more rain is north of Interstate 20. Rain will taper off likely by sunrise Sunday.
Skies will clear to start the new week with highs near 50 through Monday and lows drop back below freezing by Tuesday morning. We then begin a warming trend lasting into the end of next week.
