Wednesday, June 5 Afternoon Forecast Discussion

By  |

Clouds have held temperatures down today with a few passing showers so far. We will see some isolated showers and storms through the afternoon and evening hours with a couple of passing showers continuing overnight.

We will see rain showers and storms starting Thursday morning and lasting through the day. Rain will be heavy at times with some embedded thunderstorms possible during the day. I cannot rule out a strong storm, but widespread severe weather is not expected. Rain will taper off late Thursday into Friday with periods of rain continuing on Friday with an embedded storm or two on Friday. Rainfall amounts on Thursday along could be one to two inches with locally higher amounts.

Rain and storms will last through Monday with rainfall totals of two to five inches area wide with locally higher amounts. Most of this rain will fall on Thursday and Friday, with only scattered to isolated showers through the weekend and into Monday.

We will dry out Tuesday and Wednesday before we see another cold front likely late next week to bring some rain and cooler temperatures. Temperatures look to remain at or below average through the next week.
