Mr. Randell Lavelle Palmer

Funeral services for Mr. Randell Lavelle Palmer will begin at 11:00 am at Macedonia Baptist Church with Reverend Virgil Walters officiating and Music provided by Mr. Paul Bird. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Born in Kemper County to Fred and Allie Palmer. He was educated at Linville High School, Scooba Junior College and The University of Southern Mississippi. He taught school in Alabama and Florida and coached boys basketball. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He retired from Chevron Refinery in Pascagoula, MS after 25 years. The family returned to Meridian where his wife of 66 years, Annette Johnson Palmer, grew up. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Suqualena where he served as a deacon.

Mr. Randell is survived by his wife, Annette; sons, Lloyd Palmer (Cheryl), and Randy Palmer (Yulka). Grandsons, Kyle Palmer (McLaurin), Brett, Drew, Wes, and Jason Palmer. Great-grandsons, Navarro and Solomon Palmer; niece, Muriel Burt; brother-in-law, Joe Johnson (Robin) as well as a host of extended family members.

Mr. Randell is preceded In death by his parents, Fred and Allie Palmer; Sister, Corrie Williamson; brothers, Oscar, Alvin, Clarence, Aubrey, Norvelle, Hershel and Roland Palmer.

Pallbearers will be Joe Johnson, Kyle, Brett, and Wes Palmer, Greg Johnson, Demp Parks, Jackie Fulton and Al Kimbrell. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons and Men’s Sunday School Class of Macedonia Baptist Church.
