MIAMI, Fla. (WTOK) - Alabama defeated Oklahoma, 45-34, in the Orange Bowl Saturday to advance to their fourth consecutive Championship game. The Crimson Tide scored touchdowns on their first four possessions – leading 28-0 with 13:01 remaining in the second quarter. The Sooners finally reached the end zone on a Trey Sermon 2-yard touchdown run later that same quarter.
The Tide were led by a 318-yard, four touchdown performance from Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Heisman Trophy winner, Kyler Murray, posted two touchdowns for the Sooners in the loss.
The Crimson Tide (14-0) will face Clemson (14-0) on January 7th. The Tigers defeated Notre Dame, 30-3, in the Cotton Bowl.
